This BUMPER Guided Research Project on Malaysia features tasks based on all of the categories in our Unit of Inquiry research booklet. Many pupils struggle when tasked with project work as they lack clear models from which to work. With its clear structure and specific tasks, this bumper Guided Research Project enables students to zone in on the precise information they are looking for. As a result, their working memory is less likely to be overtaxed. Hyperlinks are included, guiding pupils to information sources and helpful websites. This Guided Research Project supports the development of comprehension, research, thinking, and IT skills.
Among the tasks included are:
- Reading tasks (using a variety of source materials – websites, letters, newspaper articles);
- Writing challenges;
- Fill the blanks (cloze test) activities to boost comprehension;
