PIVOT is built differently

Development is more useful when it leads somewhere.

There is already more learning content in the world than anyone can consume. PIVOT is designed to help you work out what matters to you, take useful action and keep a record of what you learn and do next.

Start with your own goals, circumstances and current profile.
Turn insight into specific development actions rather than vague intentions.
Learn through PIVOT or anywhere else — work, study, reading, practice, projects or people.
Build an evolving journal that makes your development easier to understand and discuss.
A development journey built around you

The flagship PIVOT feature

Your development. Made visible.

Learning and development can become scattered across courses, notes, certificates, experiences and good intentions. The PIVOT Self-Development Journal brings the story together in one professional, evolving record.

Your current self-assessment profile, strengths and areas worth reviewing.
Personal, learning and work-context information that gives development meaning.
Development priorities, planned actions, completed activity and reflection.
Courses, certificates, projects and other evidence you choose to record.

The Journal records the self-assessment, development activity, reflection and evidence a member chooses to add. It is not an independently verified grade, qualification or guarantee of future performance.

For development at different stages of life

Is PIVOT right for you?

You do not need to be in a particular job, industry or stage of your career. PIVOT starts with where you are now.

01
Starting out

Leaving education

Deciding what you want to do next and beginning to understand the capabilities you want to build.

02
Job search

Looking for work

Strengthening what you can offer and becoming clearer about the roles, skills and development that matter to you.

03
Returning

Coming back after time away

Rebuilding confidence, refreshing skills and creating a clearer route back into work, learning or structured development.

04
New direction

Changing career or priorities

Thinking through what comes next and identifying development that supports a different role, direction or set of goals.

05
Growing at work

Already working

Continuing to develop personally or professionally, whether you want to progress, adapt, lead or simply keep improving.

06
Personal growth

Developing for yourself

Becoming more capable, confident or knowledgeable because continued growth matters to you — not because a job requires it.

No perfect plan required. PIVOT helps you start from where you are and build from there.
Why continued development matters

The world keeps changing. Development cannot stand still.

Recent global employer research continues to highlight changing skill needs, upskilling and ongoing learning.

More than a content library

See the development journey take shape.

Why evidence matters

Development can add something qualifications alone may not show.

Qualifications and past achievements can show what someone has already completed. A record of continued self-development can also help explain how they identify learning needs, take action, reflect and keep improving.

Initiative
Adaptability
Self-awareness
Commitment to growth
Useful beyond the platform

A clearer way to talk about your development.

Your Journal can help organise the story of your development so that you have something concrete to refer to in coaching, education, performance, career or recruitment conversations when appropriate.

Credible, not exaggerated. The Journal does not claim to prove future performance. It gives you a structured way to show the development actions, reflection and evidence you have chosen to record.

Why PIVOT exists

Development should not end with formal education.

PIVOT is built around a simple idea: people should be able to take an active role in their own personal and professional development.

Formal qualifications matter, but they are only one part of a much bigger development story. PIVOT brings self-assessment, planning, learning, reflection and evidence together so people can keep developing through changing goals, circumstances and stages of life.

Clear self-assessmentPresented as reflection and development insight, not an external grade.
Development without labelsIndicators help you think about what may matter, not define who you are.
Learning can happen anywhereUse PIVOT, work, study, projects, reading, coaching or other useful routes.
Make development visibleBring action, reflection and evidence together in a record that grows with you.
Clear answers before you begin

Frequently asked questions

PIVOT is designed to be understandable without specialist language. These answers explain what it does — and what it does not claim to do.

What exactly is PIVOT?
PIVOT is a personal and professional self-development platform built around self-directed learning. It helps you understand your current self-assessment profile, identify meaningful areas for development, plan actions, find useful learning support, reflect on progress and build a record of your development over time.
Do I need to be working or looking for a job?
No. PIVOT is designed for different stages of life, including school leavers, job seekers, returners, career changers, people already in employment and anyone interested in personal or professional development.
What do the assessments tell me?
PIVOT uses structured self-assessments to help you reflect on current capabilities, preferences and context. Your ratings and summaries reflect your own responses and are there to support reflection and planning. They are not independently tested grades, diagnoses, qualifications or fixed judgements about what you can or cannot do.
How does Career Explorer work?
Career Explorer compares selected parts of your PIVOT profile with occupational information from the O*NET database. It is designed to highlight roles that may be worth exploring. Career Alignment is an indicator, not a prediction, recommendation or guarantee that a particular career is right for you.
What is the Self-Development Journal?
The Premium Personal & Professional Self-Development Journal is a printable PDF that brings together the PIVOT information you build over time, including self-assessment results, development priorities, actions, reflection and supporting evidence. It can support personal reflection and development, coaching, education, performance or career conversations. It does not independently verify capability or guarantee future performance.
Is Free Membership really free?
Yes. You can create a Free Membership without paying and begin using core PIVOT development tools. Premium is optional. Free Membership remains useful on its own, and you can choose Premium if you want the printable PDF Journal, additional assessments, Premium learning content and member benefits.
What do I get with Premium?
Premium is €20 for 12 months. It includes the printable Personal & Professional Self-Development Journal (PDF), additional self-assessments and profile summaries, Premium Growth Hub courses and learning resources, credit-priced Growth Hub resources while Premium is active, no daily PIVOT Credit spending cap, and 10% off the three-session coaching package. Free Membership continues to include the core PIVOT development tools.
What are PIVOT Credits?
PIVOT Credits are an optional platform reward. You can earn them for selected forms of participation and use them for selected resources or benefits. Credits are not a score of your ability, potential or development quality.
How is my information handled?
PIVOT uses account and site systems to handle the information you provide. For full details about how information is collected, used, stored and protected, please read the Privacy Policy.
